I want to share several tips about how to find a good online business ideas for 2012. its my own experiences and i still using it. if you want to find home based business opportunity and go online, you may use this tips ;

1. use google trend 
2. use google insight 
3. you might also use google keyword trackers, to figure out several keywords popularity, competition, and opportunity.
4. use the best niche finder software on the market to check whats hot niche on the market, please note that, only use proven software ...
5. now, this is new method but it works for me. try to click ad related on every website that you visit (not the ad that display your own website of course!). the ideas is win-win solution with good will. advertorial such as google adsense, always displaying up to date advertorial from credible advertiser. just look on the top of this articles and the sidebar. see the idea? every new product, new business online created every minutes and most of advertiser used google as the promoter. click them, go to their website and get the idea. by clicking ad on other people website, the author of the website will earn money from google, you will get a lot of ideas, and for advertiser, yes they will pay to google for your click but they will get benefits too ...if they really have a good products or services, we might buy it and find deeper insight about particular business ideas that interested us. win-win, nobody lose, everybody win!
6. Visit forum - yes go to specifics niche forum that you love, find out and see what you could provide there. if you could do that, whether you realize or not, you just entering your own product creation process!
7. Subscribe to mailing list group, particular group that you might interest. read carefully every conversation and catch the ideas from it.
8. always read headlines news from business center website ... bloomberg, business week, etc ..
9. look around you, your home, neighborhood, what is the hottest topics that you could convert to business.
10. Be an innovator, try something new.  if you want to copy-paste, go ahead but modifying it. give your products or services more value. 
11. Focus ... 
12. Action, Action, Action hehe
